The very famous GM diet was designed by the General Motors company fro its employees to promote awareness for a healthy lifestyle. It may have been just like any other initiative at the time but today, this is probably the most potent and healthy way to diet and lose weight within a week. The diet focuses on all major food groups each day and you need not starve yourself at any time during the day. Given below are the basic guidelines for each day of the week:
- GM Diet day 1 - The first day is all about preparing the body for what is to come in the following week. The first day is all about fruits. Eat as many as you like and as many as you can. Anything except bananas is allowed during the first day.
- GM Diet day 2 - On day 2, the diet calls for vegetables. Anything goes besides tomatoes. Again, you may eat as much as you like during the day. You can start the day with a boiled/mashed potato to keep you going through the day.
- GM Diet day 3 -A combination of day 1&2. All you can eat buffet (fruits & vegetables).
- GM Diet day 4 - You can only have milk and bananas
- GM Diet day 5 - .5 pounds of Beef and up to 6 tomatoes
- GM Diet day 6 - .5 pounds of beef and vegetables.
- GM Diet day 7 - two cups of white or brown rice during the day along with fruits and vegetables as in day 1 & day 2.
